Senior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and own the data infrastructure that powers our AI and analytics products. The role sits at the intersection of data architecture, cloud engineering and business impact, working closely with data scientists, analysts and client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Design and implement data warehouses, data lakes and lakehouse solutions.
• Define and enforce data quality, lineage and governance standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionise machine‑learning models and feature‑engineering workflows.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Engage with clients to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Own CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code practices for data platform components.

Required profile

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands‑on experience in Spark or similar distributed frameworks.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect or Dagster.
• Proven track record on at least one cloud platform: GCP (BigQuery), AWS (Redshift/Glue) or Azure (Synapse).
• Familiarity with dbt and modern analytics‑engineering practices.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis) and data governance.
• Fluent English; French is a strong asset.
