Software Developer – Test Engineering (Remote, Morocco)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Software Developer specialized in Test Engineering to join a U.S.-based engineering team remotely from Morocco. You will initially focus on building a robust automated testing framework and later transition to full‑stack product development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a Playwright test framework with page‑object models, role‑based authentication, parallel execution, and detailed failure traces.
• Create an authorization matrix using pgTAP to verify tenant isolation and cross‑tenant denial.
• Develop Vitest unit and contract tests to catch API and schema drift before UI tests run.
• Establish deterministic test data generation via seed and factory patterns.
• Integrate the test suite into CI pipelines, running on every pull request against Supabase preview branches.
• Manage flaky tests through quarantine processes and treat them as broken tests.
• Document runbooks, patterns, and hand‑off procedures to enable developers to maintain their own tests.
• After the testing architecture is stable, contribute to core product features as a full‑stack engineer.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong focus on test automation and quality architecture.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with U.S. engineers and product stakeholders.
• Willingness to shift from test engineering to product development after 6‑9 months.
