Software Engineer Intern – Quantitative Finance

About the role

Join Xcelerit as a Software Engineer Intern focused on quantitative finance. You will work on a six‑month paid project that tackles real‑world numerical and performance challenges, gaining hands‑on experience with high‑performance computing tools used by leading financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own a well‑defined project end‑to‑end in numerical computing, performance engineering or quantitative analytics.
• Write modern C++ and/or Python code to production standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and quantitative analysts, receiving weekly 1:1 mentorship and code reviews.

Required profile

• Final‑year engineering student in computer science, applied mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong programming fundamentals in C++ or Python and a genuine interest in performance‑critical and numerical problems.
• Demonstrated curiosity through side projects, open‑source contributions or competitive programming.
• No prior finance experience required; willingness to learn quantitative concepts.
