Steel Profiling Line Operator

About the role

We are looking for a skilled operator to run our steel profiling line, producing sandwich panels for industrial and commercial construction. The role combines precise machine setup, quality monitoring, and basic maintenance in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust profiling rollers – alignment, pressure, and play – and correct shape defects.
• Operate the unwinder: load coils, centre them, engage the strip and control tension.
• Detect and correct profiling defects such as twist, bend, waviness, poor squaring, out‑of‑tolerance dimensions, scratches and edge deformation.
• Maintain continuous quality checks throughout the production process.
• Perform first‑level maintenance on the line.
• Follow safety, production and cadence instructions.
• Complete tracking and traceability documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to adjust profiling rollers (alignment, pressure, play).
• Experience managing coil unwinders (centering, tension, strip engagement).
• Good knowledge of common steel profiling defects and correction methods.
• Rigor, autonomy and strong attention to detail.
• Technical training (CAP/BEP, Bac Pro in mechanics, boiler making, industrial maintenance) or equivalent experience in a metallurgical environment.
