Technical Supervisor – Wind Farm Operations

About the role

The Technical Supervisor will lead day‑to‑day field execution of wind turbine generator (WTG) and Balance of Plant (BoP) maintenance activities. Reporting to the Site Engineer, the role ensures safe, high‑quality, and timely delivery of preventive and corrective works while maintaining documentation discipline to sustain high availability of the wind farm.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSSE policies, conduct PTW inspections and enforce NOMAC standards for staff and subcontractors.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of wind turbine mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as BoP equipment.
• Provide first‑line technical guidance to service technicians and coordinate major component replacements (generators, transformers, gearboxes).
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, job readiness checks, and enforce quality “hold points” for critical tasks.
• Maintain a repeat‑defects log and propose permanent corrective actions.
• Verify lifting accessories certificates, perform rigging readiness checks, and ensure return‑to‑service verification before hand‑over to SCADA.
• Manage on‑call rotation, escalation procedures and field housekeeping after each shift.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of wind turbines and BoP equipment.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations and ability to coach teams on safety practices.
• Experience coordinating major component replacements and managing field resources.
• Ability to conduct documentation, defect tracking and continuous improvement activities.
