Test and Validation Engineer – HIL for Automotive ECUs

About the role

ALTEN Maroc is looking for a Test and Validation Engineer to join its automotive team in Rabat. You will work on Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) benches to verify the performance, reliability and compliance of electronic control units (ECUs) and related subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test cases for automotive ECUs on HIL platforms.
• Execute validation campaigns and ensure compliance with system specifications.
• Troubleshoot HIL bench issues and keep testing operations running smoothly.
• Update simulation models and test scenarios as requirements evolve.
• Automate test scripts using Python, CAPL or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Analyse results, generate detailed reports and track defect trends.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and UDS.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with HIL testing in the automotive domain.
• Strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• HIL tools: dSPACE, Vector CANoe, NI VeriStand, ETAS.
• Automotive protocols: CAN, LIN, UDS, FlexRay, Ethernet.
• Scripting: Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink.
• CI/CD integration.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE and OEM guidelines.
