Warehouse Supervisor – 2nd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our Ayer, MA facility. The role involves overseeing product movement, coordinating with production, and leading a small team to ensure smooth warehouse operations in a fast‑paced, family‑owned environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate product movement and placement according to the production schedule.
• Process orders for picking, staging, and inter‑warehouse transfers.
• Maintain stock rotation and minimize production downtime.
• Keep employees organized, on‑task, and accountable to meet daily targets.
• Communicate with carriers to solve problems, plan deliveries, and manage drop‑trailer programs.
• Support production, inventory control, and quality control as needed.
• Track outbound orders in the shipping log and report operational issues.
• Assist with inventory counts, forklift inspections, and occasional hands‑on tasks such as picking or unloading trailers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of warehousing or logistics experience, preferably in a lead role.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work overtime or weekends as required.

Required skills

• Forklift certification.
• Experience operating forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks.
• Proficiency with RF scanners.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Works (a plus).
