Business Development Lead: New Business Models

About the role

Roche is seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development Lead to drive the launch and scaling of a novel IVD‑Access business model across Africa. The role will start with a pilot implementation in Morocco and evolve into a regional replication effort, ensuring commercial sustainability and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end execution of the pilot in Morocco, establishing a sustainable operational foundation.
• Own commercial accountability for the pilot and its subsequent expansion within the region.
• Capture insights and codify a scalable playbook for future deployments in other African markets.
• Support the rollout of additional new business models across Sub‑Saharan Africa, integrating lessons learned from the pilot.
• Collaborate with central reference laboratories, local IVD labs, and internal stakeholders to drive capacity building.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading commercial or business development initiatives in healthcare or diagnostics.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in low‑ and middle‑income country environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively, especially to Morocco during go‑live and hyper‑care phases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
