Design Release Engineer (DRE)

About the role

ALTEN Maroc is seeking a Design Release Engineer (DRE) to support automotive product development projects. The role involves managing product release processes, ensuring compliance with APQP and PPAP standards, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality designs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage APQP processes and project milestones.
• Conduct PPAP activities and validate supplier capabilities.
• Maintain and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) and handle technical change requests (ECR, ECO, ISSUE, LA).
• Create 3D designs and detailed drawings using CATIA V5/V6.
• Utilize ENOVIA/PLM/DOCINFO tools for product lifecycle management.
• Analyze and validate supplier technical documentation (PCP, CTF, RCM).
• Lead digital mock‑up reviews (DMU) and ensure GD&T compliance.
• Perform risk analysis during project milestones.
• Apply automotive quality tools such as 8D, 5S, DMAIC, and ISO 9001.
• Track KPIs (QCD, OTD, FTQ, FRT) and generate dashboards.
• Coordinate with quality, purchasing, logistics, and production teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree +5 (or equivalent) in engineering.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a similar automotive design release role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle chassis and base‑vehicle systems.
• Proactive, autonomous, and able to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in French and English.

• BOM management and technical change control (ECR/ECO).
• GD&T and functional tolerance analysis.
• Automotive quality tools: 8D, 5S, DMAIC, ISO 9001.
• KPI tracking (QCD, OTD, FTQ, FRT) and dashboard creation.
• DMU (digital mock‑up) reviews.
• Risk analysis and mitigation.
