Electrical Engineer (UAV Systems)

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. You will work on high‑performance flight controllers, companion computers, and electronic speed controllers that power mission‑critical defense platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture and design physical/electrical integration of complex processor‑based systems.
• Create detailed schematics and perform board placement/routing while managing fast‑signal constraints.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and GNC teams to ensure seamless board integration and accurate sensor interfacing.
• Address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues and maintain signal integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/electronic board problems.
• Conduct testing, integration, and performance validation to meet design specifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in complex electronic system design.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and solve technical challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Processor architecture and memory domains (DDR, Flash).
• Electronic CAD tools, especially Altium.
• Electronic test equipment proficiency.
• Embedded system design and high‑performance board layout.
• EMC mitigation and signal‑integrity analysis.
• Experience with robotics or aerospace systems (preferred).
