Finance & Operations Manager – Build Finance Function from Scratch

About the role

Harmattan AI is launching a new entity and needs a Finance & Operations Manager to establish its administrative, financial, and HR foundations. You will be the sole person responsible for building processes from the ground up while ensuring alignment with Group standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the entity’s administrative and accounting structure, including bank accounts, local accountant relationships, and ERP configuration.
• Design and implement local HR and operations processes such as onboarding, payroll, and compliance with labour laws.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for Group leadership covering cash burn, P&L, and balance sheet.
• Create procurement and expense policies and manage reimbursement frameworks.
• Coordinate with the Head of Finance to align accounting standards and integrate the entity into Group consolidated reporting.
• Manage relationships with local service providers (accountants, lawyers, insurers, suppliers) and public administrations.
• Lead the annual audit preparation and document scalable processes for future growth.

Required profile

• Senior finance and operations professional with proven autonomy in managing full‑scope finance for an SME or subsidiary.
• Experience overseeing accounting, monthly close, bank reconciliations, and cash monitoring.
• Ability to build and document processes rather than follow existing ones.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with Head of Finance and HQ Operations.
