Financial Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

Otis is looking for a Financial Accountant specialized in Accounts Payable to join its Casablanca team. The role involves managing supplier invoices, payments and supporting month‑end closing while ensuring compliance with Moroccan accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record supplier invoices accurately with proper analytical allocation.
• Monitor supplier accounts, process local and international payments, and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations and analyse discrepancies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax) in line with local regulations.
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure strong internal controls over accounting processes.
• Assist in budget preparation, cost monitoring and variance analysis.
• Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Bac+3/Bac+5).
• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan accounting standards and tax regulations (CGNC, VAT, IS, IR).
• Fluency in French and working level English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE or similar).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with IFRS/GAAP (optional).
