Food Counter Attendant – Multiple Cities, Canada

About the role

Hirez Manpower Solutions Inc. is partnering with hospitality employers across Canada to hire friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendants. In this position you will serve customers at restaurant, café or quick‑service counters, ensuring fast, accurate and pleasant service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and answer basic inquiries.
• Prepare simple menu items and assemble orders according to customer specifications.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions and operate point‑of‑sale equipment when required.
• Keep counters, dining areas and service stations clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
• Restock packaging materials, utensils and other supplies throughout the shift.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and service procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and maintaining cleanliness.
• Dependable, adaptable and team‑oriented.
• Experience in customer service, retail or food service is an asset but not mandatory.
