Laboratory Quality Engineer

About the role

Lear Corporation is seeking a Laboratory Quality Engineer to lead and develop its lab quality team in Tangier. The role focuses on ensuring manufacturing and testing equipment meet global quality standards and supports continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and develop lab quality technicians and auditors.
• Oversee validation, calibration, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) of testing equipment.
• Manage the execution of the Production Validation (PV) plan and warranty issue resolution.
• Support PPAP package preparation, control plan development, and after‑sales parts quality validation.
• Ensure compliance with Lear global procedures, customer specifications, and IATF 16949 standards.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Quality, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in the automotive industry, preferably with German OEMs.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (IATF 16949) and problem‑solving tools.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• IATF 16949 quality management standards.
• Core quality tools: MSA, SPC, Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP.
• Problem‑solving techniques: Ishikawa, 8D, 5 Why, Pareto.
• Team management and supervision.
