Maintenance Engineer

About the role

As a Maintenance Engineer at TE Connectivity, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment. You will work closely with Production, Quality, EHS, and Facilities teams to minimise downtime and optimise asset performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) activities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control‑system issues.
• Maintain accurate CMMS data, including work orders, spare parts, and failure codes.
• Lead root‑cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Support utilities such as HVAC, compressed air, boilers, and water systems.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements.
• Drive reliability projects, TPM, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Plan, schedule, and report on PM/CM interventions using IFS.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for emergencies and occasional overtime.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering (Industrial, Automation, Electronics) – plastics/injection molding knowledge is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving, RCA, and project‑management abilities.
• Working proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• CMMS usage and data management.
• PLC and inverter software backup and troubleshooting.
• Electronic testing equipment operation.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with IFS or similar ERP systems.
