Materials Planner

About the role

Adient is seeking a Materials Planner to join its logistics team in Kenitra, Morocco. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will translate production demand into material requirements, ensure inventory alignment, and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Convert demand forecasts into material requirements using MRP.
• Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, components, and spare parts.
• Set safety stock, reorder points, and conduct regular cycle counts.
• Communicate material needs to suppliers and monitor their performance.
• Resolve delivery delays, manage urgent expediting, and prevent production downtime.
• Analyze inventory trends, generate stock and shortage reports, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions and manage obsolete or slow‑moving items.
• Participate in lean and supply‑chain improvement projects and enhance system data accuracy.

Required profile

• Engineer or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Materials Planner or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to work with production orders, BOMs and MRP processes.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in inventory optimization.
