MQ Engineer I – Quality Management

About the role

The MQ Engineer I will support the development and continuous improvement of TE Connectivity's business quality management systems and facilities. Working within the automotive environment, you will ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards and drive quality initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Quality Management System according to IATF 16949.
• Execute key quality strategies aligned with plant performance.
• Implement, maintain, and improve the Business Operating System in the assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
• Conduct internal process and product audits (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
• Monitor internal and external PPM, perform root‑cause analysis, and define corrective actions.
• Handle customer and inter‑company complaints, prepare 8D reports, and communicate corrective actions.
• Prepare production documentation (CP, QIP, failure catalogue) and manage PPAP submissions.
• Present processes during customer audits and track audit action plans.
• Participate in P‑FMEA updates and provide methodological support to line inspectors.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Quality or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and problem‑solving tools (8D, DMAIC, SPS).
• Strong knowledge of quality standards (IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent in Business English and French.
