Purchasing & Procurement Engineer

About the role

Hexcel is looking for a Purchasing & Procurement Engineer to join its Casablanca plant. The role focuses on managing the acquisition of both direct production materials and indirect supplies, ensuring continuity of supply and compliance with corporate procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing of all direct (BOM/production) and indirect (MRO, services, consumables) materials.
• Ensure accuracy of purchase requests and orders in the ERP system, applying Hexcel procurement guidelines and segregation of duties.
• Coordinate raw material procurement with planners to meet production needs, maintaining appropriate lead times and safety stocks.
• Monitor, analyze, and report Supplier On‑Time‑In‑Full (SOTIF) performance; conduct root‑cause analyses and drive corrective actions.
• Support supplier audits, evaluations, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and commercial conditions in line with corporate sourcing policies.
• Draft, renew, and maintain supplier contracts in coordination with Corporate Sourcing, Finance, and Legal.
• Support cost‑avoidance and continuous‑improvement projects; prepare monthly and quarterly spending, savings, and KPI reports.
• Act as the primary liaison between the plant and Corporate Sourcing for strategy alignment and supplier category management.
• Collaborate with Quality, Finance, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure smooth, compliant purchasing operations.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, competitive bidding, and RFQ/RFP management.
• Good understanding of ERP systems and purchasing workflows.
• Ability to analyze data, build cost models, and monitor supplier performance.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• High level of integrity with strict respect for compliance requirements and segregation of duties.
