Software Developer

About the role

As a Software Developer at IDEMIA Public Security, you will turn functional and technical requirements into high‑quality, secure software solutions that support governments and public institutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain code that meets business and technical specifications using Java and related technologies.
• Optimize performance, reusability and scalability of applications.
• Identify and reuse existing components, libraries and frameworks.
• Apply best practices such as secure coding, code reviews, version control, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Participate in requirement analysis, estimation, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Document solutions with diagrams, charts and clear code comments.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (master level) with at least 2 years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming in Java (Java SE/EE, JDBC, OAS).
• Good understanding of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Basic familiarity with Linux environments (preferred).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• French at a good working level and basic English proficiency.
