AFR Operations Customer Specialist – Logistics Support

About the role

The AFR Operations Customer Specialist provides day‑to‑day administrative support for air freight forwarding activities. Working under close supervision, you will help ensure smooth flow of goods and information across the global supply chain for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Gather operational requirements, arrange customer visits and respond to tariff queries.
• Perform routine research, data processing, validation and documentation tasks.
• Provide input for the freight control centre and assist the operations team with instructions.
• Support freight rate determination for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintain customer relationships by preparing information for visits and handling inquiries.
• Record shipping tenders, enter data and support shipment documentation.
• Collate data and draft performance reports for account teams.
• Create and confirm transport orders, perform bookings and optimise them.
• Prepare, control and distribute import/export documents.
• Identify supplier performance issues and propose improvements.
• Update customs shipment information, resolve incidents and communicate updates.

• Handles repetitive administrative tasks with accuracy.
• Follows defined processes, systems and methods.
• Escalates routine issues to supervisor when needed.
• Collaborates primarily with team members and internal colleagues.
