Engineer Production Processes & Equipment

About the role

The Engineer Production Processes & Equipment is responsible for designing, dimensioning and optimizing cable manufacturing processes in cutting and pre‑assembly areas. The role ensures that production meets customer requirements while adhering to quality, cost, delivery and ergonomic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update production flow charts with control points and storage areas.
• Calculate equipment capacity and define production resources, investment and tooling needs.
• Prepare technical specifications and secure technical acceptance of equipment.
• Create and implement work instructions in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Lead installation and layout of workstations, ensuring ergonomic compliance.
• Conduct FMEA activities and manage corrective actions.
• Support production launch and provide technical training as required.
• Prepare and distribute technical documentation to internal departments.
• Supervise production time‑evaluation activities.
• Manage and monitor technical changes, communicating new customer requirements.
• Maintain equipment inventory and database.
• Coordinate technicians’ workload and task allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering, capacity calculation and line balancing.
• Good understanding of ergonomics and production flow optimisation.
• Ability to manage technical changes and industrial projects.
• Proficiency in French and good level of English; additional languages a plus.
• Autonomous, results‑driven and strong team player.
