HV/MV Substation Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is seeking an experienced HV/MV Substation Engineer to develop and maintain high-voltage electrical drawings and documentation for 110 kV / 15 kV substations. The role involves creating single-line, wiring and interconnection schematics, and ensuring that designs meet client requirements and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and update high-voltage electrical drawings using Engineering Base (E-Base).
• Create single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal plans and interconnection schematics.
• Define interfaces between switchgear, protection, control-command systems and auxiliary AC/DC supplies.
• Generate engineering deliverables such as cable schedules, signal lists, equipment lists and technical documentation.
• Analyze customer requirements, perform technical reviews and validate documentation quality.
• Assess design changes, evaluate impact on substation architecture and support troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure compliance with project milestones and quality objectives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 5-7 years of experience in HV/MV substation design.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage and medium-voltage substations and electrical distribution systems.
• Proven ability to work in English and produce clear technical documentation.

Required skills
