Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will support the STRIDES project in Morocco, ensuring that monitoring and evaluation processes are effectively implemented across targeted geographic areas and sectors. The role involves training staff, providing technical guidance, and producing scientific and technical materials to assess program effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and implement MEL systems, including indicators, data collection, and reporting.
• Train and support program staff and partners on MEL tools and procedures.
• Develop technical workplans, manuals, training materials, and other documentation.
• Conduct literature and online searches to inform project design and best practices.
• Prepare quarterly, annual, and ad‑hoc technical reports, presentations, and papers.
• Participate in client and funder meetings and assist with proposal development.
• Provide administrative support such as budget tracking, manual updates, and logistics for trainings and events.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within health or development projects.
• Ability to train staff and convey technical concepts clearly.
• Strong analytical skills for data review and evidence‑based decision making.
• Good written communication skills for report and document preparation.
