Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead high‑quality technical projects in water and wastewater treatment across the North & West Africa region. You will work closely with sales, customers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery from concept to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute engineering projects, maintaining high‑quality standards for water and wastewater applications.
• Collaborate with sales teams and customers from discovery through full project development.
• Lead project execution, including requirement definition, contract negotiations, logistics, delivery, and commissioning.
• Monitor equipment testing and assembly at supplier facilities or customer sites.
• Prepare technical documentation such as data sheets, specifications, RFQs, drawings, installation sketches, and O&M manuals.
• Coordinate activities with Project Support, Service Technicians, and DBI partners.
• Produce comprehensive project documents: Scope of Work, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Technical Sheets, Maintenance Protocols.
• Participate in trials, start‑ups, and provide training and technical support to sales teams and customers.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and submit regular status reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of field experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers, sales, contractors, and operations staff.
• Solid understanding of engineering regulations.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation engineering.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
• Native local language proficiency plus fluent English and French.
