About the role
The Sales Executive will act as the primary point of contact for guests and internal departments, ensuring a seamless experience while driving revenue for the hotel. This role combines guest service, reservation management, and sales techniques to promote Marriott’s brand and loyalty program.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to guest calls, requests, and problems, coordinating with sales, data administration, and accounting as needed.
- Apply sales techniques and up‑selling strategies to maximize revenue and maintain guest loyalty.
- Process Marriott Rewards points, reservations, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail, and enter data into the appropriate software.
- Provide complimentary gifts such as reward points, tickets, or certificates to recognize guest patronage.
- Perform general office duties for the Sales & Marketing department, including filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
- Assist management in training and motivating staff, serving as a role model.
- Uphold company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect confidential information.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and ensure high‑quality interactions.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
