Workshop Technician

About the role

JTI is looking for a Workshop Technician to join the new tobacco factory in Tetouan. The role is based on‑site and focuses on repairing and producing spare parts and tools to keep the tobacco production lines running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on spare parts, standalone mechanisms and cutting machines.
• Manage spare‑part inventory and ensure tool availability for the production lines.
• Support 5S/3R initiatives and conduct Kaizen studies to improve shop‑floor standards.
• Coach team members in technical troubleshooting and deliver on‑the‑job training.
• Document repairs, handle stock records and comply with health‑ and‑safety requirements, including risk assessments.
• Assist with additional tasks or projects assigned by management, including job rotations within technical functions.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma (e.g., Specialized Methods Technician, Mechanical Fabrication Technician, General Maintenance Mechanic).
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Fluent in French or Arabic; English is a plus.
