Accountant – Finance & Controls

About the role

Continental is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead accounting administration and internal controls for its Morocco operations within the Tires Group. The role will support the Head of Finance and provide strategic financial insight across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting activities (accounts payable, cash management, general ledger, journal entries) in compliance with corporate policies and IFRS.
• Act as SAP FICO key‑user, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounting data.
• Design and implement accounting administration structures and internal control frameworks aligned with corporate guidelines and local regulations.
• Oversee month‑end closing, prepare periodic income‑statement and balance‑sheet reports, and support management decision‑making.
• Coordinate statutory and internal audits, resolve audit queries, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead tax compliance, serve as primary contact with Moroccan tax authorities and external consultants.
• Supervise treasury activities, monitor cash flow, and manage supplier payment planning.
• Control banking operations and ensure compliance with corporate procedures.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Moroccan accounting regulations.
• Proven experience in accounting administration, internal controls, and audit coordination.
• Ability to act as a strategic adviser to senior finance leadership.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
