Accountant – Financial Management & Reporting

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join its finance team in Morocco. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording, classification, and analysis of financial transactions for the Country Office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, process cash receipts, field cash management, and wire payments.
• Consolidate monthly financial statements for the Country Office and support month‑end closing activities.
• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, reconcile accounts, and produce financial reports.
• Process vendor payments and ensure documentation complies with organizational and donor requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, risk assessments, and respond to audit inquiries.
• Assist with financial analysis projects, cost accounting, and forecasting.
• Review inter‑department cash requests, journal entries, and sub‑recipient reconciliations.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience in cash management, vendor payments, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
