Android Developer

About the role

Mindera is looking for an Android Developer to join its growing team. You will build high‑quality native Android experiences using the latest e‑commerce tech stack while collaborating closely with teammates and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Apply modern architectural patterns such as MVVM and Android Architecture Components.
• Write unit and UI tests following test‑driven development principles.
• Optimize performance, observability and metrics for production‑ready code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) and work directly with clients to ensure technical feasibility.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning within the team.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset.
• Self‑driven and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Enjoys a positive team atmosphere and values team fit as much as technical ability.

Required skills

• Kotlin (Kotlin Multiplatform a plus)
• Jetpack Compose (Compose Multiplatform a plus)
• Coroutines and/or RxJava
• MVVM or similar architectural pattern
• Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.)
• Unit testing and UI testing (TDD valued)
• Performance optimization, observability and metrics
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
