Associate Forecaster / Data Scientist – Demand Forecasting

About the role

SymphonyAI is seeking an Associate Forecaster / Data Scientist to support demand forecasting and replenishment for retail customers. This customer‑facing position focuses on delivering accurate daily forecasts, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with both clients and internal teams to improve forecast performance.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and deliver daily demand forecasts to retail customers, ensuring timely and accurate outputs.
• Run, monitor, and maintain the DFAI forecasting module, adjusting configurations, parameters, and business rules as needed.
• Analyze forecast performance, identify root causes of variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review accuracy metrics, support model improvement initiatives, and extract insights from supply‑chain data.
• Develop automation scripts and perform model monitoring using Python.
• Manage code versions and deployments with Docker and GitHub.
• Participate in customer meetings, prepare performance reports, dashboards, and maintain documentation of forecasting logic.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science or a related field.
• Foundational experience in demand planning, forecasting models, and machine learning.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and cross‑functional teams.
