About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our client’s expansion into Morocco. The role will involve establishing a local entity, building banking and regulatory relationships, and driving adoption of FX and blockchain‑powered financial solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Support the incorporation of the Moroccan entity and set up local banking infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with Moroccan financial regulations and coordinate onboarding with FX brokers, crypto exchanges, and payment service providers.
- Drive revenue growth by acquiring high‑net‑worth individuals, institutional players, fintechs, payment providers, corporate and SME clients.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, payment platforms, and blockchain ecosystem participants.
- Represent the company with regulators and authorities, providing market intelligence on FX, digital assets, and cross‑border payments.
- Collaborate with global trading, operations, compliance, legal, and finance teams to align local activities with global strategy.
- Maintain entity administration, filings, and accurate reporting.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, FX/trading, fintech, or crypto/blockchain.
- Strong knowledge of Moroccan financial services, cross‑border payments, and FX regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record in market entry, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluency in French and English.
