About the role

The Butler Manager leads the dedicated butler team aboard a luxury vessel, ensuring that every guest receives personalized, high‑end service. Reporting to senior hospitality management, the role combines hands‑on service delivery with staff development and operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional butler services, promptly fulfilling guest orders, requests and enquiries.
• Conduct embarkation inspections of VIP suites and oversee in‑suite arrival procedures to meet brand standards.
• Lead, coach, train and develop the Butler Team, fostering consistent superior performance.
• Mentor the Senior Butler, preparing them for future managerial duties.
• Monitor and achieve brand‑defined performance targets and KPIs for the team.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of guest‑facing butler experience in a luxury hotel, resort or cruise line.
• Previous shipboard experience highly preferred.
• Professional butler or luxury service certification (e.g., International Butler Academy) is an advantage.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) with excellent communication skills; additional languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic or Japanese are assets.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, capable of motivating a culturally diverse workforce.
