About the role
The Catering Sales Manager will lead the hotel’s local corporate and social catering business, driving revenue through proactive sales, contract negotiation, and exceptional service delivery. This full‑time position reports to hotel management and works closely with kitchen, sales, and external partners to ensure seamless event execution.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and secure new catering opportunities across corporate and social segments.
- Collaborate with off‑property sales channels to coordinate efforts and avoid duplication.
- Negotiate contracts, design creative event concepts, and up‑sell food‑and‑beverage packages.
- Develop and maintain catering menus that drive sales.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence, ensuring timely hand‑over to operations.
- Manage catering sales revenue, budgets, and forecasting reports.
- Monitor guest issues arising from the sales process and route them to appropriate leadership.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or related fields, OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related discipline.
