Center of Excellence Molding Manager

About the role

TE is looking for a seasoned leader to head the Center of Excellence for Molding. You will drive technical excellence, standardize processes, and ensure the molding department becomes a strategic pillar for sustainable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical optimization and standardization of molding machines, tooling, and production methods across the department.
• Govern projects to align with plant priorities, applying rigorous monitoring, control, and reporting.
• Co‑develop innovative molding concepts with Manufacturing Engineering, Tool & Die, and Process Engineering teams.
• Define and roll out best‑in‑class practices across multiple sites, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.
• Support daily operations through capacity balancing and technical solutions that boost throughput and reliability.
• Drive productivity initiatives focused on automation, material efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Provide strategic direction and coaching to department leaders, aligning activities with corporate KPIs and transformation goals.
• Participate in EMIA Center of Excellence meetings to share knowledge and scale innovations.
• Assist manufacturing leadership with budgeting, capex planning, and equipment allocation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of engineering or process development experience in an industrial setting.
• At least 5 years of specialized experience in injection molding, preferably automotive.
• Minimum 3 years of people‑management experience in a production environment.
