Chief of Party – USDA Food for Progress Program (Morocco)

About the role

The Chief of Party will lead the USDA Food for Progress program in Morocco, providing strategic direction and overall management from the Casablanca office. Reporting to the Executive Director of Partners for Development, the role ensures the project delivers measurable impact on agricultural development, food systems and trade facilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day program operations, including work planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Coordinate technical activities with implementing partners, government agencies and USDA, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
• Supervise and mentor project staff and partners, fostering a collaborative multi‑disciplinary team.
• Guide monitoring, evaluation and learning processes to track progress and adapt interventions.
• Represent the organization in communications with donors, stakeholders and the public.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in agriculture, international development, economics, food systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven senior‑level leadership on large donor‑funded programs, preferably USDA or similar USG awards.
• Extensive experience in North African contexts, especially Morocco’s agricultural or trade sectors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building abilities.
