Cloud Architecture & FinOps Expert

About the role

As a Cloud Architecture & FinOps Expert you will shape and optimise cloud solutions to deliver high performance while controlling costs. You will embed FinOps principles into architecture designs, guide technical teams and support governance frameworks that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve cloud architectures incorporating FinOps practices such as cost optimisation, right‑sizing and service selection.
• Implement optimisation recommendations, including reservation strategies, autoscaling and storage/compute efficiency improvements.
• Analyse cloud usage patterns to identify and activate cost‑saving levers.
• Integrate FinOps requirements into architectural standards (design‑to‑cost and efficiency‑by‑design).
• Guide and support technical teams in adopting cloud and FinOps best practices.
• Deploy and manage tools for monitoring cloud costs and performance.
• Contribute to cloud and FinOps governance, including frameworks, management rules and controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cloud architecture and FinOps practices.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting cloud usage and consumption data.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.

Required skills

• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
• FinOps cost‑optimisation techniques (right‑sizing, reservation strategies, autoscaling)
• Cloud performance tuning and resource allocation
• Cloud governance frameworks and cost‑monitoring tools
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect)
