Customs Billing Supervisor

About the role

The Customs Billing Supervisor leads the end‑to‑end billing process for transport and customs operations, ensuring accurate invoicing, compliance, and timely delivery. You will manage a dedicated billing team, collaborate with operations, customs, and accounting, and drive continuous improvement of billing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the billing team: organize workloads, prioritize files, and monitor distribution.
• Support and develop team members through technical guidance, training, and best‑practice promotion.
• Prepare and review customer invoices for transport, customs, and additional charges.
• Verify billing accuracy, rates, services, documentation, and commercial agreements for compliance.
• Monitor KPIs such as billing timelines, processed volumes, and discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Handle complex billing disputes, recurring discrepancies, and sensitive customer requests.
• Contribute to process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑year degree (Bac + 2) in Finance, Management, Transport/Logistics, or a customs declarant school diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within transport, logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of international transport and customs regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and industry‑specific billing software with high attention to detail.
• Fluent French; professional level English preferred.
• Ability to manage a high volume of files and work effectively in a team.
• Proven experience in team coordination or management.
