Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer at SII Group Morocco, you will design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable analytics, reporting, and machine‑learning workloads for our major clients. You will work in a flexible, remote‑friendly environment across our offices in Casablanca, Oujda and Rabat.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse data sources.
• Model and optimise relational and big‑data storage systems.
• Build APIs and data services for internal consumers.
• Deploy and manage cloud‑based data platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Monitor performance and tune systems for high‑throughput processing.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and clear communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across teams.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on data integration.

Required skills

• SQL and relational databases.
• Big‑data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP (including services like Amazon S3, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift).
• Python programming and API development.
• Microservices architecture.
