Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer at SII Group Morocco, you will design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable analytics, reporting and machine‑learning workloads for our clients. You will work in a collaborative, remote‑friendly environment across Casablanca, Oujda and Rabat, turning raw data into reliable, consumable assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across diverse data sources.
• Model and optimise relational and big‑data storage systems.
• Build APIs and data services for internal consumers.
• Deploy and manage cloud‑based data platforms on AWS, Azure or GCP.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and clear communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and solve complex problems.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and integration concepts.

Required skills

• SQL and relational databases.
• Python programming.
• Big‑data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Distributed compute frameworks.
• Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) including S3, BigQuery, Redshift.
• API development and micro‑services.
• High‑performance computing frameworks.
