Database Administrator – PostgreSQL & SQL Server

About the role

STATERA Morocco is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage critical PostgreSQL and SQL Server environments. You will join a technical team responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission‑critical data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database management systems, primarily PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Monitor performance, analyse incidents, and implement optimisation measures.
• Design and maintain backup, restore, replication, and high‑availability strategies.
• Manage database access, permissions, and security policies.
• Assist development teams in SQL query optimisation.
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades.
• Automate routine administration tasks through scripting.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of DBA practices.
• Provide technical support and participate in incident resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on DBA experience.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server, with exposure to multiple database technologies.
• Solid understanding of architecture, performance tuning, security, replication, and high‑availability concepts.
• Professional level of English.
• Rigorous, proactive, autonomous, with strong analytical and teamwork skills.
