English‑Speaking Buyer – Procurement & International Trade

About the role

METRACO is seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented Buyer who is fluent in English and French. The successful candidate will support the procurement function by ensuring product quality, availability, and cost‑competitiveness across a range of goods and spare parts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts and pro‑formas, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Process purchase orders in the ERP system, track execution, and generate regular reporting.
• Analyse supplier offers, compare products, and explore sourcing opportunities.
• Review supplier samples, conduct testing, and produce inspection reports.
• Manage product data, including artwork, labels, translations, codes, technical sheets and catalogs.
• Create items, barcodes and serial numbers within the ERP platform.
• Coordinate with designers, after‑sales, import, logistics, e‑commerce and other internal teams.
• Improve processes by optimizing workflows, databases, templates, checklists and guidelines.
• Ensure correct use of purchasing tools and compliance with international trade procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in International Trade or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing and international trade.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Strong analytical mindset, rigor, team spirit and proactive initiative.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
