FEM Simulation Engineer (Interior)

About the role

Bertrandt is seeking a motivated FEM Simulation Engineer to support interior crash and durability simulations. You will work on the development of cockpit and seat components, collaborating with cross‑functional teams from concept to series production.

Key responsibilities

• Set up load‑case specific calculation models independently using ANSA, LS‑DYNA, PAM‑CRASH, Animator and custom tools.
• Execute crash analyses, interpret results and validate FEM calculations for interior components.
• Document and present findings, coordinating with customers, project managers and other stakeholders.
• Develop optimization proposals together with team members.
• Support assemblies throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with design, testing and other departments to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Technical or scientific degree in automotive, mechanical, mechatronics, aerospace engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in simulation and development of cockpit or seating systems.
• Strong analytical skills, independent and structured work style, and reliable communication.
• Business‑fluent English.
