Forward Deployed Software Engineer

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to own the end‑to‑end delivery of its defense‑grade software solutions in the field. You will integrate the platform with customer environments, customise configurations, and ensure reliable operation in demanding operational contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement software interfaces that connect our platform to existing client systems.
• Configure, customise, and parameterise the software for each deployment’s operational context.
• Deploy, commission, and manage on‑premises releases and updates.
• Debug and resolve software issues on site, documenting resolutions.
• Gather reusable integration and customisation requirements and feed them back to the core product team.
• Collaborate directly with customer technical teams to align the solution with operational needs.
• Maintain detailed records of integration architecture, configuration decisions, deployment states, and issue resolution.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Proven experience in both system integration (building connectors) and application customisation for specific environments.
• Strong foundation in end‑to‑end software ownership: build, configure, debug, and deploy.
• Comfortable working on Linux‑based systems.
