Front Desk Agent – Hostel Receptionist

About the role

We are looking for a friendly Front Desk Agent to be the first point of contact for guests at our vibrant hostel in Marrakech. The role combines guest interaction, administrative duties and support for daily operations, ensuring a memorable stay for travelers from around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests, manage check‑ins and check‑outs, and handle reservations.
• Provide information on local attractions, events and cultural highlights.
• Process cash transactions accurately and keep the front desk area organized.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest needs promptly.
• Resolve guest issues quickly, maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining a positive online reputation through excellent service.
• Prepare the breakfast buffet and perform occasional administrative tasks such as sending police reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer‑service experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French; additional languages a plus.
• Flexible availability for night shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and proactive in problem solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with the MEWS property‑management system.
