Hardware Engineer – PCB Layout & Design

About the role

Join ALTEN Delivery Center Morocco as a Hardware Engineer focused on PCB layout and design. You will work on cutting‑edge projects for clients in automotive, railway, IT, R&D, and telecom sectors, ensuring high‑quality hardware solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Place electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) on PCB layouts.
• Route signal, power, and ground traces while managing multilayer stack‑ups.
• Ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI compliance, thermal performance, and overall reliability.
• Apply design rules and manufacturing constraints such as DFM, DFA, and DFT.
• Prepare manufacturing files including Gerbers, ODB++, pick‑and‑place data, and BOMs.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or related engineering field.
• At least one year of successful experience in electronics hardware or PCB physical layout.
• Strong understanding of electronics schematics and component datasheets.
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and IPC standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610 is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of signal and power integrity.
• Attention to detail, precision, and good cross‑team communication skills.

• Design for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), and testing (DFT).
• Generation of Gerber, ODB++, pick‑and‑place files, and BOM.

• Reading datasheets and application notes.
