Head of Department – Marine Operations

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position leads a department within Al Fattan Marine Services in Abu Dhabi. The Head will drive daily operations, shape strategic direction, and ensure the team delivers results aligned with corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day departmental operations.
• Develop, implement and monitor departmental strategies.
• Lead and inspire a team of professionals.
• Set performance benchmarks and track results.
• Manage budgets efficiently and ensure financial discipline.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strategic thinking and long‑term planning experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project‑management proficiency with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Deep understanding of marine operations, safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in a senior managerial role within the marine or related industry.
• Flexibility to adapt to dynamic operational needs and a commitment to safety and sustainability.
