Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the role

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet the high quality standards of The Ritz-Carlton. This role coordinates housekeeping activities, monitors room status, and acts as a liaison between multiple hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Prepare, distribute and communicate changes in room assignments and update departing‑guest room status.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Act as a liaison coordinating efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry.
• Assist housekeeping management with daily activities, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow all company safety, security and appearance policies and report hazards or incidents.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and maintain professional communication.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting and operating housekeeping carts, and use computer systems for reporting.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
