HR Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

The HR Manager will lead the entire human resources function, ensuring compliance with labor law, internal policies and corporate standards while aligning HR strategy with business objectives. This senior role reports to top management and acts as a trusted advisor on all HR matters.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and initiatives that support business goals.
• Lead, develop and motivate the HR team, fostering a high‑performing work environment.
• Oversee core HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
• Ensure timely and compliant payroll processing and personnel administration.
• Advise senior management on HR‑related topics and support decision‑making.
• Manage relationships with works councils, unions and external partners.
• Drive talent development, training initiatives and succession planning.
• Monitor HR KPIs (e.g., absenteeism, turnover) and implement improvement measures.
• Control the HR budget, improve cost efficiency and report HR performance to top management.
• Lead change‑management and HR transformation projects such as digitalisation and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• At least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing HR teams.
• Strong knowledge of labor law, HR policies and best practices.
• Experience working with employee representatives (works councils, unions).
• Solid background in all core HR processes, budgeting and KPI management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and organisational optimisation.
