Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer (Kubernetes, Ceph, Backup)

About the role

Dalil Tech is hiring an Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer for an on-site role in Rabat, Morocco. The engineer is the primary Day 2 owner of the compute, Kubernetes, storage and backup layer of a government platform, working alongside a colleague who owns the Fortinet security fabric. The role covers cluster health, node and workload incidents, backup and recovery, and observability.

Key responsibilities

• Kubernetes: monitor the health of three clusters (DMZ, Core, Red Zone), fix pod scheduling failures, CrashLoopBackOff and OOMKill issues, manage node maintenance, enforce quotas and network policies, manage RBAC, rotate certificates and secrets, and coordinate deployment readiness with the application team.
• Ceph storage: monitor OSD status, PG states, replication and capacity, respond to OSD failures, validate PVC provisioning and coordinate capacity planning.
• Dell compute: monitor PowerEdge R670 nodes via iDRAC, manage firmware updates, maintain the Linux OS baseline and keep a hardware inventory.
• Backup and recovery: monitor Dell PowerProtect jobs, run documented restore tests at least quarterly, manage policy changes through change control and maintain the restore runbook.
• Observability: keep the log collection, metrics scraping and alerting pipeline working, triage alerts, tune thresholds and produce weekly platform health summaries.

Required profile

• Production Kubernetes operations experience; CKA required, CKS preferred.
• Linux systems administration and Ceph or comparable distributed storage operations.
• Backup platform operations (Dell PowerProtect, Veeam or equivalent).
• Bare-metal server operations with iDRAC/iLO and firmware management.
• On-site availability in Morocco on a permanent or long-term basis.
• English, French or Arabic is highly valued.

Required skills

• CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator); CKS preferred.
• Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or equivalent observability tools.
• Dell PowerEdge R670, iDRAC 9/10 and Dell PowerProtect experience is a strong plus.
