Inventory Specialist – Vehicle Processing

About the role

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing vehicle inventory at a Copart facility, ensuring each vehicle is accurately documented and processed within company timelines. Using company‑provided tools, the specialist records condition, captures photographs, and directs traffic flow in the receiving area to support a smooth auction experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and organize the receiving area.
• Operate a camera and handheld inventory device to process incoming vehicles.
• Determine the operational capability of motor vehicles.
• Complete vehicle inspection inventories (TLEs) on required vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of all materials used.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
• General automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Driver’s license preferred.
• Bilingual skill a plus.
